Peds MD offers three membership levels. Primary Care is the full experience, well-child checks, vaccines, functional health testing, house calls, and unlimited 24/7 access. Sick Visit Only is built for families who want direct access and sick visit coverage without full primary care. Virtual Only is for families outside our service area in NC or SC who want unlimited virtual visits and 24/7 text access with Dr. Trey.

All three tiers include a telehealth enhancement kit (a high-resolution ear/throat camera, pulse oximeter, and thermometer), unlimited 24/7 text access directly to Dr. Trey, and unlimited virtual visits, day or night. No random doctor you’ve never met. The same board-certified pediatrician, every time.

Sick Visit Only and Virtual Only memberships are month-to-month with 30 days’ notice to cancel. Primary Care memberships have a minimum term of 6 months (or until your child turns 1, whichever is longer for infants), then convert to month-to-month. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership as your family’s needs change.

Yes, for Primary Care members, well visits and vaccines are fully included with no additional admin fees. While we believe in vaccines, they are optional and can be done on alternate or spaced-out schedules. We’re a vaccine-friendly practice, no pressure, just partnership. Sick Visit Only members can access checkups and vaccines à la carte at different rates.

Every member receives a kit that includes a high-resolution ear and throat camera, a pulse oximeter (which reads heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen levels), and a thermometer. This lets Dr. Trey examine your child properly during a virtual visit, so a virtual call isn’t just a guess. It’s the difference between real care and advice from afar.

Members typically hear back within 30 minutes to an hour. Night coverage is included for all members, so if something comes up at 2am, you’re not on your own. Dr. Trey will often check in proactively if he knows something’s going on, and can follow up in real time rather than sending you to urgent care to ‘wait and see’.

Peds MD doesn’t bill insurance directly, but that’s by design, not oversight. Removing insurance from the equation is what lets us spend real time with your family instead of rushing through visits to hit billing codes. That said, we try to use your insurance wherever it makes sense, labs, imaging, and referrals can still go through your plan. One-time visits are typically FSA/HSA eligible (membership fees are not), and we can provide documentation for self-reimbursement if your plan allows it.

In-person visits (house calls and office visits) are available within 30 miles of zip code 28203 in Charlotte, NC. Families between 15 and 30 miles may have a small convenience fee per visit, which can always be avoided by meeting Dr. Trey at his office at 1515 Mockingbird Lane, Charlotte, NC 28209. Virtual Only memberships are available to any family in NC or SC, regardless of location. We don’t currently serve families outside of NC/SC.
