The Peds MD is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities across our website. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. If you need to reach a person, our contact page lists every way to get in touch.
Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) so assistive technology can navigate the site. - Text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.
- Keyboard operability for interactive elements, including menus and the FAQ accordion (Tab, Enter/Space, and Escape).
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users.
- Color contrast that targets the WCAG AA thresholds for text.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduced motion” preference.
- Responsive layouts that work without horizontal scrolling on small screens.
Known limitations
Some content is provided by third-party platforms that we embed but do not control, including our inquiry forms (JotForm), scheduling (Acuity), the supplement dispensary (Fullscript), and embedded maps and video. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of these third-party services, and we encourage those vendors to maintain their own conformance. If you encounter a barrier in any embedded content, please contact us and we will help you complete your task another way.
Scope & standard
This statement applies to the website at thepedsmd.com. Target standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This statement reflects a self-assessment; a formal third-party audit has not yet been completed.
